Today is Father's Day. I dedicate this message to my Dad Manuel Gonzales aka
Cow Boy. Happy Father's Day to all the daddy's out there blessings to you. On the day of the Lord Supper, Jesus says to His disciples, This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” "In remembrance of Him. Today is a special day I want to remember my daddy He is still here thank you Jesus for another year you given me my daddy here on earth. But I like to remember my daddy and take you to memory lane. I can always remember my dad being there for me. If there's anything that I can ask God to change my dad? is nothing because I love him the way he is. The day I had got my surgery I was around 10 years old and I was in the hospital for one week I can remember when I got back home I was in my bedroom my dad comes walking in and said all your cousins are out here to see you, but before you go out there you have to take your medicine that the doctor prescribe for you. And if you know me, no football players not even my aunts and my mom could hold me down to take a pill lol. I hate pills I was scared they will get stuck in my throat. In order for my mom to shove it in my throat she had to run three times around the the couches before I swallow my pills. And I can remember this day my dad said you cannot go out there until you take your pills and I'll remember crying cuz those were the big horse pills and I said no I can't. He said to me you can just drink this water and swallow it he said you want to go out there you got to take this pill. I wanted to go out there so bad because my cousins were in the living room waiting for me to see me because I just got home from the hospital and right there I swallow my pill a moment of security I knew that if I swallow my pill wrong my dad will save me. And there was another time I remember my mom made me wear this big brown furry coat look like it was from the 50s. And my mom said hurry on go before you missed the bus and to get to the bus I had to walk at least four or five blocks to get to the bus stop. So that morning I cry I threw a fit I didn't want to go to school cuz I didn't want to wear my furry coat and my mom said hurry on you're going to miss the bus. I can remember my dad took me by my hand and said let's go I'm going to walk you to the bus I just can't explain the feeling when I walk to the bus stop with my dad I felt like he was my hero even though I didn't want to wear my furry coat it didn't matter because I had my hero beside me. As I got older had my three boys he was always there for them my boys look up to him as a dad as a friend and as a hero. I remember I was saving money to buy a car and I don't want to go through all the details but the money I was saving was stolen from me and my dad seen the labor I had to go through just to save the money to buy a car. And I remember he said I have a car for you and there again my hero once again came through for me. I remember one day when I came to his house to visit him after work and he told me how proud he was of me because I don't give up he said I'm proud cuz you are hard-working woman and a lot of nice things that my dad said to me I cherish in my heart. My dad is my hero he's my friend and I love him. He always been there for me. and my boys. There's many many more happy memories of my dad but the last one I love to share for years he will call me into this day he still calls me and the last words he will say don't forget to turn the stove off make sure you lock the door it never fails every time I'm on the phone with my dad and I'm going to say bye I wait for those last two sentence before I used to be he's always telling me this, why he's always telling me this I didn't want to hear it. But now I look forward to hearing those words thank you Daddy and thank you Mom for choosing my dad. Happy Father's Day Daddy ❤️ God Bless, -Esmeralda Kachmar
