 The cost of following Jesus When we follow Christ we give up our will and start to seek his will for each aspect or decision we make in our life. James 4:13-15 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life?  THE SECRET OF SALVATION IS YOU DID NOT FIND HIM HE FOUND YOU. THE LADY AT THE WELL SHE WASN'T TRYING TO FIND JESUS, JESUS FOUND HER. SHE JUST WANTED TO FILL HER WATER JAR AT THE WELL. THE SAMARITAN WOMAN DREW WATER AT NOON TO AVOID PEOPLE SHE HAD BEEN SHAMED AND REJECTED BY HER COMMUNITY. JESUS WAS GOING TO GALILEE IN JOHN 4:3 HE LEFT JUDEA AND DEPARTED AGAIN TO GALILEE. 4 BUT HE NEEDED TO GO THROUGH SAMARIA. 5 SO HE CAME TO A CITY OF SAMARIA WHICH IS CALLED SYCHAR, NEAR THE PLOT OF GROUND THAT JACOB GAVE TO HIS SON JOSEPH. JESUS FOUND YOU! WE LOVE HIM BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVES US. JOHN 15:6 “YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME BUT I CHOSE YOU, AND APPOINTED YOU THAT YOU WOULD GO AND BEAR FRUIT, AND THAT YOUR FRUIT WOULD REMAIN, SO THAT WHATEVER YOU ASK OF THE FATHER IN MY NAME HE MAY GIVE TO YOU.” Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” 2 Timothy 1:9 “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity” Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13 “But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.” I pray these scriptures His word will bless you.
